The 2009 season..........

And so the 2009 season ends with the awards ceremony last weekend. It has been an up & down season for me. Losing a good friend in a tragic accident earlier this year, devistated alot of people. Being heavily pregnant just before the start, did limit my participation in promos. Losing the weight two weeks before the first day was quite a challenge. Then there was trying to haul through the Faire day so soon after my surgery in a bodice, then falling & spraining my ankle on Columbus Day, which put me out for the last weekend. Many good photos were taken of myself and all us FSB's, and we were a hit in the lanes as well as with our fellow performers. It was a learning season as well for me, as working in a group and openly flirting with men is all new to me. Next year there will be 4 of us FSB's and we'll be working under a new way and in wonderous attire! I can't wait! Lisa too got to experience Faire in a new light as she worked in the Children's Relm this season. I got nothing but good reports and praise about her from all the adult volunteers! I'm very proud!! But the best thing of this season has been fnding Jason. He is the most wonderful thing to happen to me in a very long time! Meeting him at Media Party was not just chance I think, he was sent to rescue me and has not let me down since!!! He has made me happy in every thought and touch and I absorb every second of it!

So, until the start of next season, I'll be saving my pennies for my new garb, doing what promos I can, coaching Lisa on her accent, and melting in the arms of my hookah man!

I am leveled to learn that the man who introduced Lisa & I into the life of the barbarian has been taken from the world. Sadness abounds in many hearts. Prayers to his family, both blood & spirit.
